Isn't that the way it always is? Mine didn't give me a budget per se but she did limit my tank size to 65 gal and only after I get a disability check. ( that's overdue) so all I have is a ten gallon right now with some snails and crabs in it (6 to be exact)

Added a diy algae trough to help with nutrient export. I like that is is above the tank out of the way. I don't have to worry about salt spray or overflows this way.
