We have an old nano that's been collecting dust for some time now and my 9 year old daughter, Isabella, has been "bugging" me to put water in it. So we are entering the contest, just for fun. This way she will stop "bugging" me and I can hopefully teach her some more responsibility. That's a Win-Win...I think...that is, until she get's bored. LOL

The tank is a 24g JBJ Nano-Cube that was manufactured in 2008. It's 4 years old, but in really good shape. It’s current resident spider will be upset that it and her “sand bed†of dust are going to be displaced, but C'est la vie.

I have a few boxes of used equipment that I will have to go thru and see what we can recycle, but first things first. Have to get the tank cleaned up.

I gave her a bucket, a scraper, vinegar, a sponge, a towel, and the hose.

Isabella is outside right now. I wonder how long until I get the, "Daaad, I need some help!" call.

LOL. I better go and help her, looks like more water is getting on her than in the tank...

Ok, it took more "elbow greese" to clean the tank than my daughter could handle, so we let the vinegar do the rest and soak for a few days. Bella was surprised that it took everything off the back wall. It's all cleaned up and passed the water test. Here is a before and after shot.

I am surprised that it cleaned up so nicely. Now if we can only agree with what to put in it...She wants a baby shark,
LOL...I am thinking maybe some clownfish

Shark egg is a great idea. She might just agree to that. If not then
I might have to give her all control of this tank and start my own build. Lol
