I have had two Ocellaris clownfish for about a year and a half now and they have grown a lot but they are both the same size, when should I expect one to become the female and male?
Here is a picture of them, also when I got them they were basically all orange. What type of clownfish are these ? They have been getting darker by the week.Can you post pictures? How big are they?
At some point, one will just start getting bigger than the other. It can take a while.
If you want them to grow faster and be healthier for breeding, feed them rods food and use selcon.
This advice was given by ORA when I started a clownfish breeding project at school.
We were never successful at getting a random pair of clownfish to breed and bought all our mature pairs from ORA. However, we also didn’t have the years it could take for them to mature.
