I have had two Ocellaris clownfish for about a year and a half now and they have grown a lot but they are both the same size, when should I expect one to become the female and male?

Can you post pictures? How big are they?

At some point, one will just start getting bigger than the other. It can take a while.

If you want them to grow faster and be healthier for breeding, feed them rods food and use selcon.
This advice was given by ORA when I started a clownfish breeding project at school.
We were never successful at getting a random pair of clownfish to breed and bought all our mature pairs from ORA. However, we also didn’t have the years it could take for them to mature.

Hope this helps

Here is a picture of them, also when I got them they were basically all orange. What type of clownfish are these ? They have been getting darker by the week.

It’s been a while, but it looks like a ocellaris percula hybrid.

From what I can tell in the picture, they don't look that big. They probably have a ways to go. More food will increase their growth.
