30g reef (3+ months). Livestock: 2 clowns, firefish, Midas blenny, flame hawkfish, cleaner shrimp. Soft corals only. Params stable: alk ~8.7, mag ~1390, Ca ~570, nitrate ~8, phosphate 0.16–0.30, ammonia 0.

One clown stopped eating about 10 days ago. Had white stringy poop at first, sunken belly, slow hovering, staying away from the other clown. Breathing normal the whole time. Treated the tank with General Cure (2 doses), carbon removed. It’s been a full week since treatment ended and he still hasn’t eaten once.

Now he’s gotten worse — super close to the sand, weak, still won’t eat, no poop, still alert but barely moving. Other fish are totally normal.

Looking for advice:
- Start KanaPlex in the display?
- Safe with shrimp/soft corals?
- Is there anything else to try since he isn’t eating?

Any guidance appreciated — trying to save him if possible.

this fish may have been a victim of aggression but looks very thin and weak and may be moribund in which it may not eat or swim normal going forward. As it continues to deteriorate, the shrimp may make a meal of it, sorry to say

What is your feeding schedule like? Is it eating? Would be best to pull it out and put in a QT. Even a plastic tote can work in a pinch. It’s unlikely this fish will make it. I wouldn’t risk putting any additional medication in the display.

Can you post a clearer picture under white light? From what I can see, your clownfish is deadly thin. What happens is fish don’t store much fat, so when they get thin, they use their liver for food energy. That causes liver failure.
