Clownfish I.D.

Hey, I found a clownfish and it's tail is throwing me off. Would someoner be able to I.D. it for me?

Has the clarkii look. I like the white tail

A chrysopterus. That's what I'm going with.

I can't find any clowns with that wedge in their tail :S

It looks similar to a Oman Anenonefish. The stripes are a little thicker on yours but has the white tail with the fork. I'm sharing a link below so you can check it out.

Nono, of course not aha. I'm in the market for clowns but I'm very picky so no unknowns for me aha. Those are photos at the shop

Thanks, that's pretty close! Those are a very handsome clownfish I must say.

Unfortunately not the right ones though aha. The clown in the pictures "wedge" was a dark triangle of tail and the tail shape was a standard short stocky flatish end.

I don't remember, but possibly around the $35 mark as a single?

Well it was labeled as clarkii, but I just had suspicions it mightf be something a little different [emoji14]

you guys are in the right complex (clarkii), but to me all signs point to amphiprion akindynos. i love this species. great caramel color and as adults get some nice blue in the stripes!
