Hello, I introduced a Firefish Goby to my 25 Gallon Nano tank last week, at first my pair of Ocellaris Clowns ignored him, but after a day or so, they started chasing it. The chasing has died down, but my Firefish wants to come out more, but gets chased back into its cave. No issues during feeding time though as the clownfish ignore the Firefish and the Firefish eats freely. My question is, should I just let things be since Firefish tend to hide anyways, or will this stay and issue and should I try to remove the Firefish or clowns? No fin nips on the Firefish, just mild chasing lately, and the Firefish still tries to come out and swim around.

I don’t know what your rockwork looks like, but clowns typically stay in a spot and don’t move far. Is the firefish going near the clowns? Maybe you can rearrange the rocks to be further from the clowns? I mean, are the clowns chasing the fire fish all the way across the tank? Any other fish in the tank? There not really enough info provided and depends and on the tank layout so it’s hard to give good advise. Can you give a little more info or provide a tank pic? 25 gallons should be enough space.

A mirror taped to the side works well for me. Changing up the scape is another good intervention. Fire Fish need bolt holes to feel comfortable.

Thank you for the responses. I'll take a picture of my scape soon. The firefish will swim around for a while until the clownfish sees it then chases it away, but if the firefish is swimming around near it's hiding cave, the clowns don't bother it. Only when it starts swimming in the middle of the tank. I might change up the scape but I just set up a new scape a few weeks ago when I did my move, hoping not to.
