Clownfish turning darker

I’ve been noticing over the last few months my male clownfish face os turning black
Along with their general colour all
Over their body seams darker
Is this normal ?

Clownfish can take on slightly darker hues over time - especially if you got them when they were very small/young.

These may be Mocha and were sold as Perculas but dark pigment is true color

They are supposed to be regular ocs but we’re more orange when smaller .
now Dracula ( the female ) got the taste for my blood she’s becoming savage and ruthless along with changing colour to a darker tone

I’m waiting to see how aggressive she gets when and if she ever finds the bta that’s been in there for over a year

Mine did that too! Maybe they are getting a "tan" from my blue heavy LED?

The mated pair is 8 years old, both were bright orange when I got them, now the male is almost turning into an onyx clown...

I like that your male has a little black around the mouth, looks like a little lipstick. I would say your clowns look more like percula than ocellaris, but the eye being more dark I would guess that these are black photon clownfish (mix between Ocy and Perc species)

They were cheap and with 100’s of others .
I was told they were ocellaris perhaps they could be different , it really doesn’t matter .
The black around his mouth is the first thing I noticed .
I thought Dracula tried putting him in his place , or he was late coming home one night .
perhaps smelled like another reef . Lol
