Clownfish White Stringy Thing

Hi,

Just got a new pair of clowns today. They seem healthy and hearty, but I noticed that the male had a white string on it. I took two pics, but they are not great. When I came back from a walk, it was gone. I was told not to feed my clowns for at least a day (for the night at least) and feed tomorrow. They were trying to eat algae wafers floating in the water column though.

I did search around here and heard it might be internal parasites or worms. Can I just get some confirmation on that and how I should proceed?

Just got them today, haven't fed them anything yet, but was thinking of feeding pellets tomorrow morning.

Got them in the tank about 2-3 hours ago

Fish poo……I would definitely feed them tomorrow as by then they should be considerably more acclimated

White stringy poo by itself isn't much of a concern, diet changes can often cause that - if coincides with other symptoms (lack of feeding, breathing fast, swimming oddly) then it could be an internal protozoan issues. It is NOT caused by internal worms though.

Your fish look good, I'd just watch them for now.
