Hey folks,

Came home to find my clownfish with a swollen and cloudy eye. This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this so I thought I would reach out and see what the general consensus is and whether or not there is anything I can do for her.

She is pretty prone to chase her tank mates and she also hosts a frogspawn coral instead of an anemone. She's around 3 years old probably about 2.5 inches long to give you all some size reference.

One eye or both? If just one eye, try dosing Epsom salt (reef safe) at 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons to help relieve the swelling.
Just the one.

I have 100% magnesium sulfate epsom salt, that's the right stuff correct?

Thanks for the help! Any idea what may have caused it?

Typically it's an injury that causes it in just one eye. She could have bumped it on something or another fish decided to fight back.

Okay, thanks for the info :)

Checked in on her this morning and the affected eye is about half the size it was yesterday but still a little bigger than her other eye. It's also still cloudy. Other than her eye, everything else seems to be fine and she's nuzzling her frogspawn as she normally would.

Could be the frogspawn's sweepers hitting her eye at night.
