In my opinion, your fish should be fed at least once or twice a day and probably at least 2 to 4 cubes a day, unless you want to starve them. You have to use a method to export nutrients, or have less fish, or starve them to death.

I've always fed my fish once a day max and usually every other day and not had any issues

What type of water are you using? RODI or tap water....that can make a BIG difference here.

No tap water, RODI only.
