These all depend and the values are different for each. What is 20 for one might be 12 for another. You need to set it just be "just enough" so that you get constant, consistent bubble rate, but not too much more than that. Then, as your regulator gets older and rusts or corrodes a bit, you might need to turn it up in time.

I would that this is probably not what you want to hear, but there are no absolutes here. For all of mine, I start at about and see if that will work. Start with the manufacturer's recommendation and see how it goes. Remember that these are not super precision instruments and that super precision regulators are many thousands of dollars.
