Co2 scrubbed

So I just got a co2 scrubber today and having trouble setting it up. It’s the standard brs version. I have the right side (out) hooked up to the ventri of skimmer and the left (in) to the air intake which I think it is of my skimmer. Just need some clarification bc I don’t think my ph has increased since I did it. Just hooked up the in side to the air intake of skimmer didn’t know I needed to unless I don’t. Right now as light are off apex still shows ph dropping unit night. Here’s some pics. Everything was diy don’t judge lol

The opposite side doesn't go to the sump. its supposed to draw fresh air outside of the cabinet or the house if possible

are you doing re-circulating? Then its correct hook-up....however, you wont see results over-night....its gonna take awhile. How are you measuring your PH BTW?

pH is still going to fluctuate day to night. It "should" just fluctuate at a higher pH

and just IMO, you are better of with fresh air in.....that whole re-circulating thing is really just to save on the media.....

My apex ph probe. If i wont see results overnight then that’s okay but making sure im doing it right. Don’t care if recirculating or not just wanna make sure its rights

The in-side on the scrubber would be open air from room or if your skimmer has a recirculating lid connect it to that. The out-side connects to the skimmer pump air intake.

With the fresh air I now have it that the out hose goes into Venturi of skimmer and the in hose isn’t connected to anything and just laying there. I assume that’s where the air gets drawn in from is this correct

its correct for recirculating but not for non-recirculating....but since you dont care, then its correct.

Perfect just making sure it’s right. How long to see results just curious since I was second guessing myself since ph was still dropping. I’ll see how low it gets tonight. During day recently has hovered around 8.1 on high end and night drops to 7.85-7.8

Hard to say, there are a lot of factors that affect pH Your low and high points should just average higher than before the scrubber if the Co2 in the room is elevated.

In = Is Ambient Air going In
Out = Goes to the Skimmer air Inlet
You should hear the IN side sucking air

That's correct. If anything, use a short piece of tubing to let it pull air from outside of the cabinet.
