Cobweb like structures in tank?

Can anyone help me identify this substance in my tank, it’s appeared and gone away before over a long period of time. It’s mostly white and grey, some strands are dark green/brown (might be two different things) it detaches very easily but once it gets blown around and settles it often covers some of my corals preventing them from opening. Other than this everything else in the tank is doing well. The only way I’ve been able to remove it is by siphoning it out but I’ve done at least 4 water changes in the last two weeks and it’s gotten way better but is never fully gone. Can someone help identify or offer a solution? Is it algae, bacteria, detritus build up or some kind of mix of them. I feed twice a day normally do 1 water change a week. It is a 16 gallon system, I’ve been monitoring parameters and all seem to be in order. I’ve only been in the hobby for about 9 months, thanks! These are the best I can get you can see some of the brownish green strings coming up from and wrapped around the corals and rock which I’m assuming is some tips of algae (detaches easy) but what I Goulding get the best pictures of is the cob web like material on the rock the can mix with it also a looks like slime or some kind of gunk

that stringy stuff looks a lot like my dinos, but mine were all over the sand and glass as well, so I'm guessing it isn't that, or maybe its going to get worse.

Thanks you, I’ve had them before and thought it might be that but just going a little differently right now. I’m more concerned with the other stuff that I was not able to photography really well I have a feeling it’s not like an algae but some kinda bacteria slime or just built up organic matter but I should’ve taken pictures before I removed a lot of it
