Yesterday I built the worlds most ugly autofeeder. It will feed some of the 25 liter (7 G) tanks.

I see what you're doing there. Is that an old Cooler Master CPU heatsink and peltier cooler to make a mini-mini fridge I spy? Show us your computers now. I'm on to you.

Thanks! I blush.
It is a great privilege to live so close to the sea.

More from the large tank 540 liter (140 G)

One of the most fun parts is to catch your own livestock. I have some DIY gear to do that.

A trawl to get demersal animals and plants.

This bucket is best on soft bottoms, but I will put some more weights on it. Perhaps it will work on hard surfaces as well.

A couple of years ago I wanted to see if animals would start grow on small rocks. So I built this box and filled it with rocks.

I put it on a depth of 15 meters (50 feet) and waited. Hard to have patience...

I got animals, even fish.

After a year it started to grow animals on the plastic, but not on the rocks... gah!
But fish and other invertibrates hide in the box and are easy to catch, so it is still a success!

Even the rope is well populated with sea sqirts.

The contraption that closes like a clam . Has blue on it, reminds me of a tool with similar principal of action. We use in HVACR.
I haven't used that tool in like 20years. Funny

Well, I work as well, but yesterday it was stormy weather. Gale winds hit the shore and I went there after work to pick some drifting macro algae.

The problem is that the macros are thrown around in the waves and sometimes burnt by the sun. But I found some nice looking plant with spiky tips and the pale red macro in the background.
Lets see how it goes.

25 liter, anemone tank:

It's not every day the anemones decides to show themselfs all at the same time. But yesterday they did.
You can count to four spieces in this picture:

It's not winter now, but...
A school nearby have some aquariums and they take the water from deeper waters. The discard water is really clean and I take some for some of the water changes. ¨

Almost every time I find some small anemone in the gravel by the pipe. It's the one in the middle of this picture, but you can find one more.
I'm secretly in love with the purple anemone...

One more from the pipe to the right.

It's summer now and time at the computer are not prio…
But I have finally built a DIY controller based on Arduino. It Controls the Jebao streamers in the macro algae tank. The reasson I had to build this is that the original controller losts its sync in C-mode.
