I was dumb enough to buy some cheap torches off some chop shop.. they came in no pests or anything but not great colors. I've had them for a couple months now, but are not really as colorful as I would hope. For example, I have a Rasta torch and a highlighter torch. You can barely tell the difference between the green and yellow tips. I'm attaching pics of my cotton candy torch vs a green with yellow tip torch I bought from an actually reputable vendor to show what I'm working with.
Lighting is a radion xr15 over a 20G at 70% schedule intensity.
I keep the alk between 8.5 and 9

I keep mine under more blue lighting and dose amino acids. Usually takes a month if they're bleached.

That's to much light. They are bleaching. I run my radions XR15s at 70% on a 22 inch deep 80g system. I use the AB plus program and have 5 torches mid tank including a rasta like you.

They came in bleached, and are actually slightly better now, but still not good. The one that I purchased already colored up is still great, better even. That's not the problem.

Way to much light for 20g at 70% for LPS. If you are trying to grow SPS it's ok.

I'm doing a mixed reef. Everything from acros to lps
Well that is tricky on a small tank too. I'm doing the same and I know when I try to get 400 par at the top the corals in the mid and bottom get unhappy. It is a fine tuning line. Good luck.

They're good 75-150 par in my tank. I posted a bleached Holy Grail that I bought a while back. I was pretty upset about it since I ordered online and paid $500. It took a month to look right. Here are the old pics when I got it. Called it my Not So Holy Grail. The CK Prenup arrived a few weeks earlier and looked amazing.

Dose aminos and wait. That's about all you can do for torches as long as the PAR and flow are ok. I had an "orange" Frogspawn that, when I got it was almost translucent. It took a FEW months but it colored up really well and is now one of the nicer show pieces in my tank.

I use Red Sea AB+ daiiy, and there is no spot in my tank that is more than 125 PAR, though.

That's it. I had a Holy Grail take 2 months. Aminos and occasional reefroids is your best bet after the other 2.

Late to the party. Are yall finding that low 100's par is coloring things up better? Lost some gold in one of mine and the 'advice' was higher par. Guy at TSA says they keep their HGs near 300. Gaaaaa this hobby lol.

Once or twice a week. Some handle flow and par differently. I keep them on their own base rock in case I need to move them. I also found Indos easier to keep. I'd say 75-150 par and mostly blues for me. Here is my schedule.

I am far from an expert on torches but i find mine do better at 200+ than around 100. My other euphyllia like hammers and frogs i treat more like most lps with lower flow and light. Torches i treat closer to sps level light/flow
