What size is your tank? We have a 40 gal., would that be an ok size given enough hiding spaces and caves?
a 180 - but if there is sufficient cover and they are small and IF the 6 line is not an AH, I think so - but then you would be close to "'carrying capacity"

Should new Mandarins be quarantined in case of ick or other parasites and/or bacteria?

Get a 2nd opinion but Ive read they are immune to a lot of parasites and bacteria because of their slim coat
I've heard/read the same thing, but I just want to be sure.
We're about halfway through a fallow period for our main tank (the 40gal.) and don't want to experience another parasite outbreak again.

had a coral arch about 1/2 way up in my tank (30L at the time) and the gramma lived under it...i think it was far enough off the bottom that it didnt consider the mandarin hopping around below as invading its space...but yeah went broke buying it pods, wont do that again

Also, should I wait for the entire fallow period to expire before returning our YWG to the main tank or is 5 to 6 weeks long enough?
