It might take a time or two. Mine is in 14 gallon and there's definitely not enough to eat for an Urchin. It's actually amazing how much it does eat, almost continually. I feed every day. The one day I didn't the Urchin munched on my Xenia. It's only a nano (26g) so I don't have room for really any predatory fish.
Current stock: pair of ocellaris, 1 pajama cardinal and 1 royal gramma. None has shown any aggressive patterns. I used to have a six line but it got stuck in the rockwork snd died a few months ago.
There is algae, but maybe there isn't enough anymore. I will put nori on a clip and see if it'll eat that.

I’m not an expert, but is there anything in the tank that would harm it? What are your fish and inverts? It might have also just fallen.
