Why is this dude stressing me out so much? Lol. Okay so we have had this guy for about 3 months. He's been doing great, eating, doing his thing. 2 days ago he decided to go for a walk. No big deal except he was walking into a cave. I was getting ready for work this afternoon and I see he has walked all the way into the cave and is hanging upside down. Tentacles are out. He's fully open. Foot still attached.. He's not bleached or anything and I haven't seen any warning signs. Should I move him back to the top???

Also sorry for the awful pics I didn't have time to clean the glass and get to work on time and they are sideways, just to make it more difficult lol.

Water parameters are good, did a water change and tested Tuesday, nitrites and ammonia 0ppm, nitrates 10ppm, temp steady at 76, salinity between 1.023-1.024.

It has been up for 9 months, which I know isn't a super long time. Everything else in the tank is doing well. I'm just nervous he's gonna die and kill everything in the tank. He's the biggest creature in the tank...about the size of my fist.

Besides your tank looking pretty new, I have multiple Condys in my tank and a couple of them does the same thing. The foot are attached to the rock upside down, tentacles extended, and no light. One of them was like that for 2 weeks and finally came out in the open where now it’s getting light. I agree, just leave it alone and eventually it will find its sweet spot.

Leave it alone. If you move it may injury it trying to get it out of the cave. And if it wants the cave back itll go.

Most of the time I see nems cave up they are under stronger light than they were previously under, or bleached and not able to deal w/ strong light.

Not sure what you have for lights and if you acclimated, but a possibility.

You could shade over it's area and see how it responds.
