I have a condy that likes being a sand flower. It doesn't extend its tentacles. It just sits there and looks like a pretty button. It's not gaping, it's not oozing, its just THERE. sometimes it even sand travels. I named it houdini. It rejects my food offerings yet I find it pooping from time to time? What's up with this dude?

I was fishing in Marathon in the Florida Keys and came upon section of the flat in a foot or so of water at low tide, and there were condylactis anemones everywhere. They all had their feet wedged in a little nook in the rock below about 3 in of sand.

You might want to feed it something different. Something like Reef Roids. This area was an island in a channel with a ton of tidal flow. I'm not sure of your lighting, but ordinarily the corners of the tank don't have as much. Like I said, this anemone was growing in super shallow water, so needless to say it can take a lot of light.

I do feed it. It'll reject food from time to time. But I do feed it. I had it in a well lit area. Hell, I arrange the lights to give it it's spotlight but it WILL inflate so majestically only to haul butt elsewhere. It's like it's saying, Dim lights? Okay I sit. The lighting I should probably get? Watch me go harass the zoas for their spot. High lighting section? Nuh, I love the sand.

Needless to say. It is a very weird individual.
