Everything on YT is 3 - 12 years old and outdated for this model. Please tell me that I don't have to reset this to factory and then recreate everything I've done for the last two years. All I wanna do is connect it to the new wifi.

Any help? Thanks.

To be safe go to Neptune's web portal, support, and log a ticket real quick. That way you get into the queue for tomorrow. This way you can ask and be safe. I believe you want the 2nd option.

  • The options are:
    • To simply reboot the Apex controller
    • Press then release the reset button quickly

  • To put the Apex into WiFi setup mode, aka "Blue mode"
    • Disconnect the network cable if one is connected.
    • Press and hold the reset button until the status LED changes to BLUE (about 6 seconds), then release the reset button.
Edit: @braaap got you.

Two second Google search. Link

No. It won’t delete your info. Holding it for over 20 seconds does that.
Thanks, I was searching YT.

I have it in blue mode but how do I ... Use your phone or computer to connect to the Apex_Setup### WiFi network

Both my phone app and fusion simply say it's not connected and when I hit diagnose it just says I'm not connected. I can't seem to access anything else.

Go to your phone settings and change your WiFi to the apex network.

Yes, I asked Grok and found the answer. Many thanks.

Okay, let me rewrite this instruction in a way a normal human being would understand it:

Use your phone or computer to connect to the Apex_Setup### WiFi network. Please note that this is not a function of the phone app or Fusion, simply look for it under your phone's available WiFi connections.

I still can't make this happen. I connect to Apex_Setup### WiFi network on my available wifi networks and it complains it's not connected to the internet. Gee, ya think?

Of course this Apex isn't connected to the internet... it just made me disconnect from my wifi network. This is the worst software ever created, with documentation that's wildly outdated.

"Oh, would you like to feed your fish? Step 1: Become a Python programmer."

So you have it in blue mode, then you connect via your phone or tablet, then what do you do?

You should be going to the network page, choose WIFI, enter SSID, and what not, then send.

After you connect, close out your app, then relaunch. It should prompt you that a new wifi network is detected or some such message. If not, try connecting to the apex wifi, make sure your phone doesn’t disconnect from it and try to find internet, go to a web browser, and go to http://172.16.0.1

Thank you one and all for getting me through this. Apologies for being cranky... this system just drives me nuts sometimes.
