Just wondering if anyone has connected the newer QP16 coral box wavemakers to a GHL profilux.
Is it just as easy to let them be controlled by their own controller and only control on/off or can you control them from the profilux just as easily?
Any feedback would be great
Thanks

If it's a brushless motor and if the box does not come with a 1-10v then you would need a brushless motor controller in between to interface.
I'm in the same boat, trying to connect my dcs jebao

Hello folks

I recently did a DIY Profilux to Jebao / wavemaker converter, it works great :)

Won't work for DCS or DCT.

I connected the Profilux to my DC version with out using the LBF box and no other boxes. I just needed two resistors to drop the Profilux 0-10V to 0-5v

The pins are the RJ12 ones on Profilux L port

G'day Mista Brock
That setup looks great.
Is that an extra controller for the jebao?
Just a word of warning when plugging in an RJ11 into a 45 socket.
The outside plastic housing will push up pins 1 and 8 in the 8 pin socket and cause issues later if you decide to plug in an 8 pin plug.
Your better off terminating into an 8 pin Rj45
Thanks for the feedback.
Do you know where i can get a jebao break out box like that?

Hello Sir.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, Maybe i'm not using the right terms on the cable names, but I am using the RJ xx cable that came with the GHL LBF-AP box and then I use a standard cat5 network cable for the wave-maker box, this one I cut and stripped so it can be mounted in the LBF-AP.

This box is rather fragile though, so as Im a bit clumsy I droppet it on the floor and a little plastic pin holding the print broke, so now the print is floating about inside the housing, which is not a big problem.

Am I missing something ?

The box is here :)

Cheers :)

Nope that will not work. The DCS pumps need switching input aka the three wires carrying power to the pump are either ABC OR W U V, similar to brushless motor controller.

Yes LBF box can be used, but actually you just need some waterproof cable sleeves and equal value resistor.

You maybe right, but I have both a couple of DC's and a single DCS, neither the controllers or the wave-box to APEX converter is compatible, so the DC's and the DCS series differ somehow.

Sounds the same as a DCT pump - sensorless three phase pump.

A couple years ago I had actually rebuilt the motor controller based on an Allegro controller IC that was size identical to the original controller case, but hosted an Arduino.

Shortly after the replacement driver box started selling for about my component cost on fishstreet :(

Happy to share if someone wants a much more advanced project.
