I was good until I got to "easy on the wallet." That's not going to happen!

I am only aware of two systems that will monitor the parameters of your tank. The one that is currently available is Seneye, and that requires a new testing slide once a month. The other I believe is still in development, and is called Mindstream, which requires a new foil every 90 days.

The Seneye isn't cheap to purchase, and is costly in the monthly slide changes. I've got to believe the Mindsteam will demand a pretty hefty price as well.

Sorry to bust your wallet!

monitored water parameters
What do you mean by that? Temp, pH, ORP, and salinity are possible, yes (with additional equipment for salinity). But things like Alk, Cal, Mg, PO4, etc are not possible with any controller.

But it's coming with the Mindstream (still in development.) I'll be sticking with the wet chemistry methods of testing because, for one, I find the estimated $600 price tag a tad high, with the additional estimated $35 every 90 days for new foils.

Alk cal ph mag ect. So no on the apex :( Ive been checking out the seneye system though and it seems to monitor them all but after the initial $200 its $11 a month for the slides. I am definitely interested in it but id like to hear from anyone who has actually used it.

You have to remember the frequency that the device tests at. Even if you did one test of each element per day with regular test kits, it would cost much more than $11 a month.

EDIT: Just realized you were talking about the Seneye which only tests pH and Ammonia. $11 a month would be more that what you would pay in daily tests :P

The Mindstream is the only one that may monitor what you want, and that is just if they can actually get it to market. It has been vaporware for two years now. They are saying that it will be $600 or so when/if it is released. Not sure on the cost of the expendable foils.
