Convert Neptune Optical Sensor to Hydros?

Building a new tank and converting from Apex to Hydros. I'm not a fan of the Hydros magnetic optical sensors for things like my ATO/AWC containers and want to re-use a bunch of the Neptune threaded OS-1 optical sensors I already have. The connector is a 3.5mm headphone jack. Anyone know of a good guide to adapt those (or any other fixed optical sensor) for use in a Hydros environment?

I found the answer to this. It's actually not possible to just wire an optical float switch to hydros w/o some more circuitry.
