The red sea coupler slips into a 32mm fitting. The photo below uses a 32mm to 1 inch. You must use general-purpose cement for abs, pvc.

Thank you for the image. just want to confirm This adapter screws onto the black threads coming out of the bottom of the tank. Then the 32mm adapter glues onto that red sea part?
