That’s actually a scoly hes completely reef safe and I have the works. Scolies, gonis, euphyllia, zoas, sps, you name it. He has helped with the cyano and GHA a lil bit
Nice what about clams? My derasa will be going in this nuvo as well

Some very cool basslets that people never keep that can run some high prices, but in my opinion can be show specimens for smaller tanks!

Deepwater candy basslet is my choice for you.. LOL

Right now it’s a 20 gallon. I do have a 45 as well but it’s not established enough yet for this beauty so he’s living in my ‘high maintenance coral’ tank until the 45 is nice and stable for him. He’s only about 1” right now

Think he could be permanent fish for a 20 gal? Edit you meant that clam i think but still is the angel staying in there for good?

Yeah the angel is in there for good, he maxes out at around 2 1/2”. I’ll move the maxima if it gets too big but I can’t really see that happening for the next few years

Why stop at the candy basslet, liopropoma are pedestrian compared to the lipogramma.
I vote lipogramma evides, if we are in a cash burning mood.

Looking to stock a nuvo 20 and just wondering what some cool fish are that i could put in there. I've been on the saltwater side for 3 years so i can handle something that needs more care. Not looking for clownfish cardinals etc
this is easy:
1. wartskin frogfish (PAIR)

2. pistol shrimp + shrimp goby pair (2-3 PAIRS as long as everything is the same species)
3. Ciliata Mantis Shrimp or Zebra mantis shrimp (basically any mantisthat is small like smaller then the big bois like the peacock) (ONE)
4. leaf scorpionfish (u could do 2-3 of em and thats it although that might be too much and MIGHT outgrow but they should be fine)

5. canthigaster valentini pufferfish (PAIR) (MIGHT OUTGROW)
6. randall's frogfish or dwarf frogfish (PAIR OR MULTIPLE)
7. multiple seahorses in a gorgonian tank or a macroalgae tank (ALOT)
8. multiple pipefish in a gorgonian tank or a macroalgae tank or a LPS tank (ALOT)
9. seahorse+pipefish mix (ALOT)

10. basslets
11. royal gramma
12, mandarinfish or rockskippers or other dragonets

Wow you put a lot into this. While seahorses and frogfish are really cool and id love to care for them one day. This dtank will be going to college so i don't feel that it'd be safe to transport such fragile specimens so often. Probably will pair my watchman goby with a pistol shrimp. As for the mantis shrimp, i doubt the goby and clam would be safe.

Pretty cool list and nice suggestions in this thread. I have Purple Firefish, Pink Streaked Wrasse, Yellow Watchman and Pistol and would add a 4th at a later time.
