Deano Cook is the artist I use, he's awesome at what he does and just a really cool dude to talk to and hang out with in general. I travel from NYC to Marietta, Georgia whenever I get the chance. I have other tattoos but if you want realism and aquatic related no one does it better. He's an amazing tattooer, underwater photographer and insane artist be it HUGE murals or smaller canvases. He actually tattoos in layers like an artist would paint, so really your tattoo may look complete but in reality it isn't until your very last session for touch ups, tightening etc, etc. I couldn't find all of my pictures showing his line work but the one below kind of illustrates it.
I have a day trip planned on June 13th, flying in the morning, banging out an all day session and flying back home. Have 2 more days booked in July. Already have the 1/4 sleeve started and plan on doing at least half a body suit. Been working with him on something totally different from his normal work and what's out there, still saltwater related of course.
He's always booked months in advance, so if it's not a one day thing (he has a 4 hour minimum) I would plan to wait a bit.

That's pretty amazing. I wish I could find the time to do something like that. I could drive it and make a short weekend of a trip. His work is amazing. Sounds like he's the Guy Harvey of tattooing .Added this little bit with him at a convention.

This is over quite a few years. I try to limit myself to 1 a year, but most years I end up with 2+ a year.

Can't tell it's a cover up. They did a good job.My octo tat, it's actually a coverup, but I'm pretty happy w/ what the guy did.
