Just wanted to show this Goni I saw on reefnbid. I think it looks just like a Zoa with long lashes. Is this normal for gonis to not have long stalks but being opened fully?

I can't really tell the length of each polyp stalk from the images, but it is an interesting looking specimen. It looks like very stubby stalks relative to the head size. To (still not) answer your question, I have two Gonis, and sometimes they are fully open but also fully stalk-retracted. They are relatively small-polyp varieties, though.
