Anybody keep this old school piece. If so, where in your tank do you have it? I got a frag of it a while back and most of the other frags from the same pack are encrusting well and coloring up.

This one seems to just sit there and stay brown.

Alk 8, daily swing .15
CA 440
Mag. 1400

Light:. Orphek V4.2 (14" above water), frag is about 10" below water, estimate about 250-300 PAR.

Flow:. About 12" away from 2 MP40 centered between them (run at 80% reefcrest).

If it’s like Copps Calacali stag (which they do look the same) then I have mine about 32” from the light, getting about 250 par and growing, coloring really well.

Probably going to have to start growing before you see any of the good coloration. Maybe once it encrusts you will see it color up a little more.

Wanted to update this whiles it's happy. Really cool old school piece IMO. Still working on photo skills but I've been very pleased with the color on the tips that fired off recently. Nice break from all the rainbow tenuis that start to blend together to me.

I think I need to turn the whites up on my LED for pics or get a brown filter. I'm 50/50 LED/MH so when I try using the orange filter I get a really weird yellow tint to everything
