Copper or File

So looking at my next round of stocked fish. One consideration I am thinking about is a copper band or a file fish for help with the occasional aptaisa . The articles I find online seem to favor the file fish for a little bit better in a reef tank over copper band. However the one on ones I have seem to favor the other. I know both are with caution but looking for a few to weigh in on which is less likely to not be reef safe.

I have both. Both are only occasionally caught tasting things that they should not (or at least things I don't want them too). I no longer have any signs of Aptasia in my display.

The copperband will go after a flipped over snail, the filefish will go after zoanthids.

i just took my filefish to the lfs because it ate my zoas. such a bummer because i really liked it. a really neat fish

Filefish rehomed here as well. Eating my cynarina.

I have no experience with copperbands.

I would probably add whatever shrimp eats them, but you have to research and be very careful to get the exact right variety. Those seem to be pretty solid.

I keep a copperband in my larger tank and peppermint shrimp in my smaller tanks and I have no aiptasia in the DTs. I've never kept a filefish.
