My mandarins fins keep getting frayed and I cannot figure out why. Today watching the tank I noticed my copperband is nipping at its tail, like a lot! When I first saw it I was like... Uhm did that just happen? Then watched more and it for sure is happening. Are these two fish compatible? Why would the cbb nip at his rear fin??

Certain that someone with more expertise will chime in with a more definite answer, but I'm thinking it might be because they are competing for the same food source … pods … but a 233g tank should be enough real-estate for them to spread out if you have a good pod population.

They both hunt pods for food. Hopefully you know you'll probably have to seed pods every so often before they both make it a pod-desert
