Coral growth question

Quick question... what factors determine which way polyps grow towards??? As you can see from thr picture, they are growing out sideways but last week was straight up vertically..... Mrs boss ain't top happy :)

Flow, lighting, avaliable space. If the flow is coming from one side it pushes the polyps with it, if it's only been a week it isn't growth, just the polyps swaying in the flow

Nothing has changed that I can tell..waver maker blowing opposite direction.... personally doesn't bother me but Mrs boss......

Soft corals tend to grow toward the light and with flow. Assuming light is not off center from that frag they should straighten up as they start to fill in.
