Coral ID

Can someone please help me ID this coral and help me with a good location for it.

Since I have had it, it has started to sprout off the top edges as you can see. I am not sure whether to get a frag rack and put it into the top left above the Nero power head. I have been told that it is a montipora but I cant seem to find anything on the internet that looks the same? Also if it is I am not sure if it is plating or encrusting?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Montipora.. it will encrust and take over your rocks so place it accordingly.. I’d give it its own rock down low so you can control the growth.

Cool thank you for the advise. As I say I want to move it to the corner, I might get a frag rack and some rock for it to sit on

Would it be ok down near the sand bed on its own rock or does it need to be higher?

It is a sps and needs higher light requirements. But if your par is 200-300 on the sand bed it will do fine.
