Hello I got this encrusting coral a few weeks ago and it seems to be growing really well. However I’m not totally sure what it is. I asked the associate at my LFS if it was a monti and they said no. But they couldn’t think of what it was at the moment. I got it on around Feb 7 and it has grown at least a dozen mouths since.

The flesh is soft like and not hard.
For now I have it sitting on some rock work but would like to put it on the wall of my tank, would it still grow well?

Cyphastrea. Looks like meteor shower.
A friend had some completely covering his overflow, so yes, it should grow on your wall.
