Coral identification

Hi all, hope everyone is well!
Can any one help me identify this coral. It came with my tank and I was told it was dead... and although is hard (almost solid in fact), yet sometimes has really small tentacles which are fine as hair and glows green under my blue lights (which I presume means its not dead!) My Damsels have taken to it quite nicely.
1 - what is it?
2 - is it still alive
3 - it's not going to decide one winters eve that the Damsels would make a pretty tasty supper?

Forgot to mention it's about 8 inches. Well, I say 8 bit let's be honest.. closer to 6 ;)

It think it is a pavona. Still alive. It won't eat fish but can sting other corals.

Also what is that thing to the upper left of the coral in the first picture?

Very nice colony! Pavona might be a good call. Not any Pavona species I've seen IRL. Perhaps something like this:

Upon close inspection I think you're right, it looks very much like Pavona explanulata on Google! Thanks guys :) and great news that its still alive!
