Hello all!
I am currently in the process of stocking my tank now that I have had it running for 3 months and all my parameters are good. So far I have my 2 clowns, 1 court jester goby, and a GSP frag that I have placed on my back wall. Everything has been in there for a week and has been doing very well. I am now trying to figure out what corals I want to add and where to place them in my tank. I was looking at getting a euphyllia or some other coral for my clowns to spend some time in as I do not want to add a nem due to the risk of them killing my corals. Any advice would be helpful!
Thank you!

I have my first reef tank just going on two years now. The way I selected my first few corals was by price. Assuming I would end up killing at least half of my corals (at least at first), I just got several different types all the cheapest I could find.

I think this is a good approach to limit your risk and make it so you don't feel so defeated when you lose something. Also, you can't predict which corals will end up doing well and which won't (maybe if you have a decade of experience). Going by "conventional wisdom" you might expect softies to thrive but in my case they always wither whereas I've had good luck with hard corals of various types.
