Genuinely curious how vendors determine the price of their corals. There are so many variables to account for:
- Original cost of the colony from wholesale
- Allocated overhead cost of electricity, water, etc.
- Growth rate
- Risk of death while shipping
- Shipping charges to the customer that don’t cover actual costs (frequency, number of these orders, etc. allocated almost as overhead)
- Popularity
Just seems like an absolute nightmare to track. Would love to hear some of your (vendor) thoughts!
