So my green toadstool hasn't opened since yesterday is it normal for them to stay closed once in a while?
If you look at them wrong, yes.
The do shed, and need too. Assuming is been in the tank a bit, contrary to popular opinion they do need good flow to slough off that coating.
Does it look "waxy"?

At dinner last night I glanced over at mine. It was the prettiest, most open I had ever seen it. Pointed it out to my daughter and she agreed it was the nicest she had seen it. Took a few bites of food, looked back up, and every polyp was gone and it had closed up o_O

So yes, they can be temperamental lol

Ok thanks man! Up to this point he's looked great! So I was concerned lol everyone says these things are bullet proof for my first coral.
true. But a new tank has fast changing parameters as it matures. The best first corals are the cheap corals. Its because some systems (for a bizarrely complex list of reasons) hate your tank.
But yea, a famously grumpy coral.
Is that your first Coral?

Nem is hiding and the clowns are terrorizing it so it wont open and is hiding under a rock. This is after I did a re aquascape and My Squamosa clam looked like it was going to die for about three days. PH had dropped to heck, no Idea why.. water changes :mad::confused::mad::confused::mad::confused:
Lol. Reefing:rolleyes: I love it.

I want a calm and a nem at some point but waiting till I finishing adding all my fish. I have 2 clowns now but both have intestinal parasites so more fish is on hold for a while.

its really best to let the tank mature. My first new curl up into a ball and died. All "parameters" good.
