Hello,
I recently cleared briopis out of my tank. I've never been to big on corals until now... I wanna get a lot because I want a mixed reef! Currently have a small toadstool and leather. Toadstool is healthy but wont grow looking for tips on that. Anyways what should I do to get my tank ready and what first corals should I try?

Wait! Before we get to the coral recommendations, how did you rid your tank of Bryopsis?

Ah yes well... I dosed fluanzacole for a bit didn't do much at all. Dosed it again this time a little over and it barely turned white, I cut feeding nitrates went down so the algae got weak... I then took the most infested rocks out and scrubbed them in a bucket of saltwater, the rocks were basically clean and the briopis crumbled tank has never looked better. However the issue is not all of the root was knocked out im ALREADY having briopis begin to come back! So what I do everyday is brush my rocks with a soft bristle brush from walmart hoping to get the root. I also suffered from GHA and the brush worked too. I found a bunch of gunk under my rocks and took care of that, my nitrates went from 100 a couple months ago to 15 now!! Im very happy with myself I just have to brush the rocks everyday and try to kill the root!

People are going to want to know your tanks parameters in order to begin trying to help.

both of my toadstools grow like a weed.
My alk is a little low, nitrates at 15 p04 high but fixing currently calcium is good mg is good. My toadstools never grow, where do you put yours?

Leathers IME like nutrients, flow, and light. Your nutrients look good so how is the flow and light?

Well... you cant see flow on the toadstool but its right under my Tidal I will annotate a picture to give an outline.

The picture is small but its best I can do on short notice. I circled the toadstool and outline points of flow. On the left I have a power head, on the right I have a weird marineland power head seen below, and the line I made at the top is my Tidal 110, I also will soon have a skimmer on the left side.

This is my weirder power head. the nozzle on the front can be adjusted to up and down.

This is the one on the left, its better and has a lot more flow just gets gunked up a lot.

This is the one I have in storage, I put it in the tank and it made some weird noises and had WAY to much flow. Wish I could put it in there it fits my tank size I just don't know how to operate it and make sure my fish can still swim with the flow in there.

Light wise the toadstool is about middle as seen above. I have two Kessil A160s.

Its hard to say it all looks good, hope others have some suggestions.

IME leathers are more forgiving with light than with flow, they really like flow. The leather should move in the flow.

Ill point the nozzle on the right powerhead down towards it I guess? I have another leather that has seemed to stop growing as well. Its a green hairy one.
