Hey everyone,

I switched from Red Sea Pro salt to fritz RPM. The Red Sea made my alk too high (around 11.5-12 dkh). Fritz mixes at a much lower alk so that’s why I went with it. My tank has slowly been lowering in alk because Its only got softies in it. Last checked my alk is 9.5. My question is how long does it take for corals to react and improve from the high alk to low? Thank you so much.

The corals won't improve from going to high to low alk (nor will they not improve).

I keep mostly softies and they tend to show a response in 48 hrs. Give them a couple of weeks to fully acclimate and don't change more than 0.5 per day. 9.5 is a reasonable goal for now IMO.
