Coral slowly dying

Looking for reasons my lps might be slowly dying.

Right now my Scoly, Trachy and Platy are on their way out. They were in the tank for 9 months then slowly started dying back. Nothing drastic changed in my tank.

Parameters are
Alk 9.2
Ca 425
No3 38
Po4 .89

The tank has always had higher Nitrates and Phosphates.

I have Meridans on my tanks. I will include photos of my light schedule. I do air on the side of low vs high.


Besides phosphates, I am looking to see what are some reasons these corals are dying back. My other softies and LPS are doing just fine.

I will include pictures of them. The pictures of them are in my hospital tank. I pulled them out of my main tank to put them in my hospital tank to see if that would change anything and it has not.

I have never dealt with any kind of infection or parasite other than bristle worm so I just don’t know what to look for.

I’ll also include pictures of my main display tank as well.

My difficulties with these things have been from not feeding them enough regularly. They like to be fed often.

If the tank gets bjd bugs growing in it then ciprofloxin treatments can help turn the tank around. But regular feeding, but not over feeding large quantities is where I have found issues in the past.

I can try do some reef roids while they are in the hospital tank. I did try dipping them in some reef iodine and I did not see any kind of parasite.

I just assumed since my PO4 was high, they were getting plenty of food.

They look like they are bleaching what about light have you raised or lower the light intensity.?

Yes. That rock was covered in aptasia. I pulled everything out of my husbands tank to put in my hospital tank. Half a dozen peppermint shrimp and a file fish have done wonders. These pictures are a couple weeks old, but the polyps are actually opening now however, the coral and question look about the same.

What do you dose in your tank in terms of trace elements? Weekly water changes? Run carbon?
