Coral

There!

What type of coral is it? What are your system parameters?

Throw some selcon or some aminos in there and it will open up. You can definitely put corals like that in a brand new tank as long as you have nutrients in the water.

The purple part is living flesh .
the polyps sometimes take time to come out .
Gsp is almost impossible to kill . But I would strongly suggest letting the tank mature a little before adding anything else .
Some colour on the rocks will
Help .
As everything matures you will find new colonies of gsp appearing throughout the tank

Good thing with those rocks . Or water parameters , you wouldn’t have to worry about excessive alk consumption or scraping coralline from the glass ….
That tank is far from Coraline. Pls
Post tank age w parameters and what tests were used to get readings. Pls don’t add any more corals.

What size tank ?
What test kits are you using and what are your test results ?
