I just purchased this skimmer and run the pump at 100% but when I put it on feed mode the pump comes back on with two lights less , so maybe 80% . Might this be a setting adjustment?
Thanks

Hi,

I am not sure why it is coming on at a lower setting. Does it go back up if you leave it for a while? They do have a slow start function built in.

I will try and see if it will do that. But I’m pretty sure it didn’t go back.

It turns back to full speed after about 1 hr.
I suppose that feature was built in to prevent overflowing right after feeding

Yes, they are designed to turn back on slowly, so I am not surprised that feature is integrated. I think I remember that being mentioned when I was speaking to the mfg as the + series was released. The controller has some serious features built in, especially for skimmers in this price range.

Skimmer is working better than expected.
You can’t hear the pump running, it’s that quiet.
One thing I would like them to change is the bottom plate screws to a different material.
Would you happen to know what the size is, just in case I need replacement?
Highly recommend this skimmer. Very well balanced.

Thanks

The coral box + series skimmers are simply amazing for the price, I have had a 300 in service for about 10 months and love it.
