Coralife Super Skimmer Help!

Got a replacement cup for a coralife super skimmer. Came with the cup and an oring. Cant find where to put it. Tried inside the red screw part, but with it in, the red piece cant come down far enough to screw onto the skimmer. Any ideas?

I have the 220G Super and the O-ring goes on the skimmer part, not the cup, there should be a round area where you press the oring into, then screw the cup onto the skimmer.

Has to have a groove in which it should go.

Thanks guys! Skimmer is under the tank and dark. Totally missed it.
