I am 5.5 months in and have one spot of coraline algae the size of a dime and growing bigger every day. And a bunch of small spots on glass . But not a thing on the rock yet. How long before it jumps to the rock.

As long as cal and alk are good it will happen, I hurried the process by hitting up a friend's tank and scraping a panel of glass, crushed it up in the bag and let it go in the tank.

Stop showing off, I'm 6 months in and I can't find a spec here nor there nor anywhere.
Oh the indignity!!!
Lol
Lol, did you put anything in the tank with Coraline? I only had a couple snails and few frags with it, the scraping really helped.

Scraping the spots you have will help even further in spreading.

Lol I have several large snails which are encrusted with coraline algae and I dosed with a bottle of the liquid coraline.
I think the empty bottle is still laughing at me.

Scrape the coraline off the glass, maybe with circulation off for an hour to distribute around the tank

My snails are mostly purple, but that didn't help the back glass. It is a curse, great when it starts then a pain unless you keep up cleaning viewing panes

The tank has been up for 5 months and two weeks but the rock has been in a 32 gallon trash can cycling for 4 months before I put it in. And started the tank up.

Probably 6months with live rock and black abs bottom, the abs and all plastics have covered the quickest, over the glass and the rock..
