I spend at least 2 hours a day doing something to my tank. It's not because I have to, but because I really, really want to! Just yesterday when my husband got home from work we did the "how was your day" thing. When it came my turn to share I started talking in reef lingo and telling him what I'd been doing all day...he finally said, "Take a breath Connie)...lol

My name is Curtis and I am a coral-holic...lol I'd say my wife is too now.

If you think it can't be that bad, my wife is convinced to try make MACNA one of our anniversary trips ;) When we talk about family vacation, one thing we consider is if there is a large public aquarium or zoo with saltwater stuff in that location or nearby... Also we keep a cooler in the car, just in case we pick something up along the way.

I have a problem and designed a shirt to prove it!

Im glad im not the only one. I keep my "reef box" and keep hit hand in my truck in case I see something I want when we travel

I guess they are going to have to make methadone clinics open to reef junkies too now! How much of your brain is taken up by fake Latin? The same amount that would be eaten away by hardcore drugs. How much do you spend on your corals? About as much as crack head McGobbly down on the corner does on his rocks. Speaking of...how many pounds of rock did you buy this year?

There is a black market for corals called "Hobbyists" and they are the drug dealers of the aquariums.
Growing fields of waving hands and selling it on the streets for dirt cheap avoiding Uncle Sam at all costs.

What has this world come to and why am I apart of this madness too?!?!?!

Help us all!!!

lolololol

My girlfriend thinks I am nuts and take it too far. Which I probably do.......but oh well I love it. :P

I always tell her it could be worse, I could be doing drugs or drinking every day....

i could produce some income with my tank also if i could talk myself into actually letting go of the coral that i frag. Its like pets you watch grow up

I have a flower pot that's bigger than my face, a chalice you could eat a bowl of cereal out of, a gorg grown from a stick...there's a bunch of corals l will never frag up. Then there's the stuff that won't stop growing at all.
Star plague, Xenia, zoos...thy all overpower my house haha. Only thing I can do is keep them trimmed.
Plus I have about 16 nice (old school sizing) frags of chalice. There is like 3 smaller than the plug. Most don't even have one. :) that will be a good week when I post them! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1368043898.530677.jpg
I have one piece for myself to never frag again but the rest is bye bye.

sweet! I have a gorgeous colony of some no name pink zoas that im afraid if i cut them then they will all melt lol and id be out!

I haven't had that happen yet, all the zoos I've chopped seem beyond hearty.
I have a cinnamon grandis that grows back every 6 weeks. I just reach in with scissors and cut its head off an glue it to a plug for whoever wants it.
Its basically the brown nipple coral most of the time between heads. Its fun watching it form from that.

I know my zoos are healthy ive fragged all of them before but i guess not seeing the pink ones before ive just been skeptic. no harm in being cautious lol

So....I just woke up from a dream that was related to the side effects of reef.
It was a full tank shot.
Nothing different about the aquarium, just a little less algae.
The focal point of this dream was a red bristle worm scurrying up the rock...in te day time.
I knew immediately this was a side effect of reef.
Be careful people. You too could be caught in a reef hallucination as well.
Don't eat the zoos
