Funny to see so many folks saying galaxia coral wins. I have a head of galaxia that has been overgrown by xenia - the xenia has completely surrounded the galaxia so that you can't see it much of the time. The galaxia isn't dying back, but it's completely obscured by the xenia growing around it. I didn't react quickly when I saw the xenia encroaching since I thought the galaxia would stop the xenia in their tracks. Wrong.

Red monti cap vs leptastrea vs green monti cap vs psammocora
20210122_220345.jpg

The leptastrea is fighting a valiant 2 front war, has fought back the green and is reaching stalemate with the red. Mean while trouble is brewing in the far east as the psammocora is itching to join the battle. Stay tuned.

I think here's a decent example of what happens when a mushroom grows over a trumpet. 1/3 of the skeleton is exposed. Apparently mushrooms got a

You know... considering corals are classified animals. This is no difference than putting two roosters (cant say the name) ina cage and watching themselves fight to the death.

Or putting two dogs ina circle and watching them maul eachother. Im not talking about the ones that move to a apot and fight randomly or frags that auddenly fought though..

Im hoping some people arent doing this for entertainment. If a frag fights.. move it. Dont watch it die or kill another animal just for your enjoyment

Don't have anything to contribute myself, but do you think hammers and frogspawns are able to keep encrusting SPS like montis/cyphastrea and branching sps like birdsnest/stylos at bay?

My torches have kept a black widow anemone at bay. I’d ring fenced torches around a rock to keep my anemone there, after observing the anemone touching a torch and kept a distance since.

I don't know about hammers or frogspawn, but my torch definitely kept a meteor shower in check.

I was planning to attack some of my green button palys with a pavona, can it work? Some palys are way more resistant than others... This pavona and these palys are actually the only survivors of my last big crash around 2018.

My pavona swallowed up some fire and ice Zoas and my pink birds nest. I could have stopped it but it looks cool. Like a fuzzy green tree.

Ok I saw this yesterday. My lobophyllia vs a little kenya. The lobophyllia wins. The kenya might return though. The first pic is the day after.
