Had to "pay off" my moving crew today.
And what I mean by that is, my dad has an 07 Silverado, and it stunk like gas like mad. So he asked if I could take a look at it. Turns out the whole top part of the gas tank was covered in gas. So today I went out to his house, dropped the gas tank and had to replace the fuel pump assembly. Along with all the lines and the locking ring.
What a nightmare!
I still stink like gas a little bit even after a long bath. The lines off the pump were so brittle they broke just by touching them

But in return I get use the truck and my dads assistance on moving day
How was everyone else's day

Ugh, gas problems are always the worst. Be happy it wasn't a diesel though because that smell doesn't go away lol

Fortunately it’s a lot easier to get at the tank on that thing than your Pops Silverado, but unfortunately I was on the side of the road when I dropped the tank to do it and it was about 20 Fahrenheit. Either way I feel your pain and applaud you for doing it yourself!

Do you have any project cars? I’d love to hear about them.

I definitely understand that. Sometimes I’m very upset with how expensive the two hobbies are. It can be taxing.

The whole bank end is rusty like crazy. We replaced the rear bumper, thr spare tire hoist, and the tailgate hinges. They were all completely rusted out

I suppose that’s not uncommon for the area, but I still feel like that a lot of wear for a 12 year old car.
