Cracked torch

I cracked my 3 head 24k torch this morning trying to remove the frag plug from the base. 2 of the heads were unaffected and the 3rd got cracked down the side. I wanted to start this thread and update as things progress for anyone else in the same situation. I immediately dipped in Revive for a few minutes after. This photo is about 2 hours after the incident. We’ll see how this goes ‍‍

So far so good. I used some glue to seal up the open part of the skeleton and removed the small bit of flesh that was hanging off.

I have had this happen to me twice. I've cracked a hammer and torch in half, both managed to pull through without an issue. Both times were because I was using bone cutters to take the frag off from the plug, now I just snap off the bottom of the plug if I can't snap off the frag with my hands.
That being said, pretty sure it varies from case to case, so hopefully yours pulls through too.

I bought one 4 years ago that a poor seller didn't tell me was cracked. It's still thriving in my tank today.

I recently was fragging up a torch with my dremel and saw a little head so I grabbed the bone cutters and it cracked. After a month you would have never known it had cracked.

Ive done it before with a hammer. You dont realize how brittle their skeletons are til theyre in pieces. Now i always use a saw or dremal when cutting euphyllia. Either way though hopefully it makes a full recovery, good luck!
