Cream Filled Acantho-nut

Hey Everyone!

I’m super curious if anyone can shed some light on something fascinating I’ve observed! When I broadcast feed, one of my acantho corals puffs up dramatically, almost like a delicious cream puff! It’s such a sight to see!

I’ve got a few other acanthos in my tank, and their reactions are quite different—some extend all their tentacles, while others flip inside out. But this particular one? It inflates like a cream-filled donut!

It looks so SQUISHY and incredible! I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences with unusual behaviors like this!

These corals act to collect food from the environment, and they can look different from other acanthos when they do this, I don’t know why they are different?
