As a new reefer I was curious about some items that you use in your reef or for maintaining your reef that aren’t widely discussed or known about. What items do you use that aren’t widely known in the hobby?

As a new reefer I was curious about some items that you use in your reef or for maintaining your reef that aren’t widely discussed or known about. What items do you use that aren’t widely known in the hobby?

This product has been around for decades but I do not hear of many reefers using it. It's called Coral vite that is used for dosing trace elements. I am not one to test even the big 3 (Alk, cal and mag) so am certainly not going to test for more obscure elements. With 5-10% weekly water and dosing Coral vite, my coral do well.
Because my display has 9 different ornamental macro algae ( used for nutrient uptake and variety of life) I also dose iron which I don't hear many reef keepers talk about.
